Urban Decay : Naked Heat

Yet again, I’m one palette behind the world and loving on what’s classed as “old news” and, yet again, the palette I’m talking about is one of Urban Decay’s. The Naked Heat palette is every warm toned eyeshadow lover’s dream, packed full of 12 light to dark shades, they’ve done good with this one.

I’ve always loved how UD include both matte and shimmery shades, that way you’re not reaching for a separate shadow when you want to add a bit of shimmer. As always, they make your life that little bit easier and add in a double ended super soft brush, with one end being the perfect blending brush for the crease, might I add. Though, I personally forget these brushes exist inside the palette and still reach for my well loved Zoeva one.

There’s something about the packaging of this palette that gave me the heart eyed emoji ever since the first time I saw it. I am a firm fan of the UD palettes so comparing naked heat to the original naked palettes is so interesting, it’s safe to say they had a pretty good glow up from their early days. This palette is a lot more sturdy, sleek and sophisticated and I’m sure all the other proud owners out there would agree.

In terms of colour pay off and texture of the shadows, as always they didn’t disappoint – just see how pigmented these swatches are! These colours were so easy to blend on the eye as well, maybe a little too easy and went on a lot stronger than I anticipated (be wary of this when using it for the first time).

Until next time…
